New Allegiance Utility: Voice Recognition Chats!
It doesn't process commands quite that fast... I would image you'll end up flying into rocks, or getting booted by the comm for flying in circles a lot... /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />Andon wrote:QUOTE (Andon @ Jul 3 2007, 03:53 PM) This thing can be mapped to do any key commands, correct? Can it be made to continuously press a key until told to stop? Example: if I say 'Left' can it be made to press the 'left' key until I say 'Stop left'? This could be a new way to fly, though probably not as accurate as any of the other ways.
I could extend the chord tags to include a <keydown seconds=X> type syntax, if there's a some value for it. AFAIK, Allegiance does not have any hold down keys outside of the thrust keys?

If you plan on flying by voice command, I suggest linking it to the voice command "Pod me now, please"Andon wrote:QUOTE (Andon @ Jul 3 2007, 03:53 PM) This thing can be mapped to do any key commands, correct? Hi Andon,Andon wrote:QUOTE (Andon @ Jul 3 2007, 11:22 PM) I prefer flying by joystick, but it would be cool to work it with something like, say, MS Flight Simulator or similar.
Oh, and what would the key input for 'Down' be in the .csv file?
In the current edition, only tab and enter are supported. I'll add others for the next release, but I just wanted to get the thing out of the door and into testing. It seems like quite a few people are interested in enhancing the grammers and adding new commands, so I'm going to kick that whole area up a notch.

BackTrack:
I think part of the problem I was having is me and part may be the software. Just for fun, I turned on the dictation utility and began speaking. Wow was the voice recog. bad! - even after 4 training sessions. I was speaking english, but the stuff being typed was like a retarded second-grader (no offense to those second-graders out there - especially you retards). So probably I've been in Alababma too long and speak like an extra from Deliverance. However, I also think the MS voice recog stuff may be sort of wonky.

Tab and Enter, along with ~, letters, and numbers? So if I re-mapped Alleg to work with a 'WASD' style of thrust, I could try it out? Not for any serious flying, but to see how well it handled.BackTrak wrote:QUOTE (BackTrak @ Jul 4 2007, 12:52 AM) Hi Andon,

What I am thinking is mapping the voice to the side/read/top/bottom thrusters, so that it is easier to use them, along with perhaps boost.
