A better analogy would be a police captain berating an officer or a detective for shoddy work, when the parter suddenly pipes up and says "CAP'N, YOU, SIR, ARE A $#@!ING IDIOT!" in a loud and obnoxious voice. The partner would get suspended, I'd suspect.
That is what it is like when you're repremanding a pilot or the team and someone does the 'Somebody shoot the commander' VC.
And using !mute when your a commander IS NOT A $#@!ING OPTION. The only way to deal with it is telling them to stop, or booting them. I seriously doubt any commander out there would mute a pilot rather than boot them.
When can a commander boot?

I'm a big supportwe of having an asgs feedback that will allow me after a game, to write a short note to someone I booted that game, to tell them why I did. It would make me feel better.
Guitar -- you exagerate. You were the first dude to boot me in Allegiance and held a serious grudge til a couple of weeks ago. Then, I did hear you on TS and my opinion began to change -- you DEF communicate better on TS and got to understand your style a bit better.

Then, about one week ago, I commed and you backseated. You were very helpful. Something came up suddenly and I had to leave the game -- so a took a page out of your book and dropped comm on you.
Still don't like getting booted -- hope to avoid it with TS when u are comming.
