Rakinite, had you been at your current state 3 months ago, you would have wondered if TF Exp was at all viable, since the ints would obviously run out of energy. At that point, of course, no one used TF Exp except occasionally Shiz and myself when we wanted to whore. Voobs would whine that the ints sucked.

TF Tac is quite viable. It requires an intelligent team, just like Rix tac. Belter tac is powerful- I don't know that it is overpowered, it is just as vulnerable as any other tac to bombing at the correct stage.

You people obviously underestimate Snipers. Even when you're out of Hunters, Snipers can still be used to pod just about anyone who is a dumbarse, ride backwards and pepper the bastards to death. With something like the Lxy SF that can fire for five minutes straight, that's still a good deal of damage to be done. (And if you've used all the Hunters for the Lxy you'll have a nice KB to boost your shots anyway).

If you want, you can even use Utl instead of Sniper for combat, but the lesser range and massive sig/high energy cost makes it a little silly. It does do a good amount of damage for a SF though.

TF Tac? It's the hardest to defend with at the start, but once you get Sniper2/EW Range 2 and Adv SFs, you'll have no trouble podding anyone at all. Three Snipers and about 16 Hvy Plassies each slot is CHEESE.

Problem with snipers is that most com's won't buy the EW range GA. So your stuck with the standard range, and being in their range with just a slight boost.

Meh. 25% of games I've been in with Tac we didn't get EW Range 1. I had no trouble podding people with standard Snipers (even after running out of Hunters).

10% extra range for an sf, you bet it's worth it.

Hmm, people need more cheese.

Is extra range going to help someone that much? Maybe I'm the only bad shot, but I can't hit anything at max range - so how is more range going to help someone? Or can you guys really hit 5/5 at 1800m or so?

Apa, are you zooming in to see whether or not your shots are hitting? Or is your lag making you miss? It's really not that hard to hit with snipers at range even with lag of about 80.

I've got a good connection, and have no (appreciable) lag. I've never tried zooming in except on a turret. To be honest, I'm not even sure how to zoom in w/ a ship.

That said, I'm not sure it will help me anyway. I can't hit anything unless I'm right on it, it seems like. I'm not sure if my joystick is just no good, or if I'm just not picking up the skill, or if I'm just that bad. /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />

I've almost given up on turreting, because I just can't hit things unless they're about 600m or less.

It's embarrassing - trust me, I know. But my parents always taught me that the first step to fixing a problem is admitting you have one. I really didn't want to say anything, but . . . but . . . *sob* I just can't go on this way any longer! You have to help me! PLEASE!!!
