The inner port and important part of the dx9 (d3d9) was done by one person and only one. If my name is over some parts is mainly for bug fixing or some obvious tweaking. I didn't put my name in the changelog. Again and again, I wasn't aware back then of any stuttering/lag/input issues.
I never imposed anything on anyone. Trust me on one thing: if I were in charge back then things would have completely different...
So no, it's not my job and duty to fix or correct these flaws.
That was not my decision back then. And even if it was, years passed during which no one complained enough to highlight these issues as major problems to the game.
Anyway you're free to roll back to R4 and play with it again.
The community isn't entitled to anything more than what it chooses to play. If the issues you complain about are really affecting and disrupting gameplay for the majority of community than why no one never rolled back to R4 ? You claim it's been 6+ years like that. That quite a long time...
Anyway, I just don't get what you want to achieve here, today.
You came to me some months ago asking for help and since then you don't seem to want the problems to be fixed, you seem to just want to blame and/or accusing people of bad work. For what purpose ? How do this help fix anything, NOW ?
If you think the work we have done since R4 is garbage that is beyond any hope of been fixed then why come to me ? and where are the pro developers you talked about ?
If you think we can't fix these issues then just STFU once and forever: that will help more.
I come here to spend some of my free time doing stuff on Alleg code because I like doing this.
But I certainly won't do stuff that I don't like or fixing stuff that's not important for a large part of the community or stuff I don't like in the game.
