it got abandoned because it made gameplay suck, that's why it is like it is now, and not like that.

maybe with all buildings giving money it could work, but the comm's insert key would be worn out after a few games :/

Edit: since this faction "takes over" ships, maybe you could give it the belters ability to use tech without a techbase.

well.. if you know how to make the cvh objects and stuff in milkshape, and get the models ready for the game, that would help alot. right now im working on mapping the garrison... it's a bitch to map. but i hope that in the end its gonna look awesome, have some great ideas. also if you have great models for bases or ships that fit in with the theme, that would be cool.

I have a question:

Since they "steal" other faction ships, would they be able to use the faction-specific ships?

I would normally think so, but you could say this new faction thinks the other faction-specific ships are too weak to use.

Did some rough designs for a cap ship/constructor/ miner if needed.

i did it in max then ported it over to milkshape.


Heres a render in 3ds max 8, about 1100 triangles.



Then ported over to milkshape



Ok, Next model, Worked on a tele for you, Better then the con anyway!

Awsome work with your models Loriana! I hope you dont abandon this project and make all the models.

Eagle: i like the fighter but the carrier seems like .. rough /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> Also you could work on the teleport to have a more futuristic look

The carriers rough, yes, first max thing ive made in a year /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

The tele i reckon is good /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

Whats the average poly count of things in allegiance, The fighter was only ever a test thing i made, in excess of 10kpolys i think, i could make a scaled down version though /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

most ships in allegiance have less than 1k polys, i've been told in the past to think of 2000 as a max for small ships.

more for caps and bases

if you download mdl view, it can tell you the number of polys for every model in your allegiance dir...
