I too will be in the @cadet class staring on 06/30 - look forward to having you as a classmate.

I've not ventured onto the main server yet. Perhaps I will this weekend. I have been frustrated with some of the games on the Nebie server. Guys wanting to turn a "Conquest" game into "death match" and camping right outside your red door. Guys beggin for Comm - then spending most of the game in a POD becuase instead of learning or commanding, they gab the first Interceptro or Fighter they reserach and decide to go fight....

I can't wait to get on with some guys that really want to play the game, are willing to put up with us newbie's that are honestly wanting to LEARN how to the pay the game, and maybe one day in the future going through the command training.

I'm in the Eastern US Time Zone, while you are Pacific. However, I would not mind staying up late on a Friday or saturday night to meet up with you on one of the Newbie servers and see if we can get some practice in!! Perhaps we can get BV to give us a list of our fellow @cadet classmates and we can do a pre-training get together game!

Robby
Yeah, you've pretty much hit the nail on the head. The newb servers were certainly good when you were screwing around and finding your basic key map layout.. but now having a lack of command and lack of teamwork is getting annoying. Once I rip through the advanced topics reading, I'll be moving on to the other servers, I think. However I'd be more then happy to make an exception if I see you on!

i like to call people like him newcomers in contrast of the less friendly version newbie or the despective one noob.

it seems you already know how sig works. how to lower it. what faction has ripping pods. you are good to go in the main server. because that you just said demonstrates you already know some stuff, and you do your homework. i played only one game on the noob server, and it was not the first one. The noob server is made for.... well... noobs... who want to 'kill stuff'. you need to learn the basic stuff and start playing where things are better

keep up the good work, you are going to be very welcome.

and revir... don´t underestimate the importance of scouts. you will start flying on servers where a lot of people will be playing, and possibly simultaneous big bomb runs (bombers with nan scouts, but i guess you already know that) will be happening.

First, thanks for the kind words. It's encouraging to be able to display your ignorance and not be called a f!@#@ing n00b. I guess my biggest concern is going on to the non-noob servers and making mistakes that will kill the team (I'm sure making mistakes is inevitable.. ) and roasting some of the good will I've seemed to garner here on the forums.
