I'd like to add that there are plenty of things that can justifiably earn a com boot that won't earn a ban from an @Alleg. We're only wround to make sure that the RoC is adhered to, not that everyone plays nice and does what the com says, that's the com's responsability.

No, you don't. I don't, anyway.

Booting is bad, making people boot you is worse, not booting someone that needs to be booted is insane.

I've played in games where the comm wouldn't even force people to scout. It's unconcionable (sic) to not have a map completely scouted with regular probage runs, it's even worse to lose the game because of a lack of gentle persuasion from the comm to his team to do so.

Anyway, getting booted sucks- still, it's not usually personal. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Mr C -- you should NOT talk about Guitar that way, man -- he'll boot you for it.

Actually, next time you are in a bomber turret and DreamWalker is nanning you, zoom in and check out the dude in the cockpit. I swear his sweater says GOOBER. /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />

I've never booted anyone in a real game.

There are times where I have come close to but other god damn anomalies have prevented that.

Such as the time My team was down 7 - 10 and a noob placed a tower where it shouldn't have... Oh that pissed me off. Rav knows /mad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="mad.gif" />

hmmmm I wonder if I should take offense at that....

There were a couple of times I should have booted tonight, but didn't I think that yes, booting is well justified and anyone that has ever flown for me will know i have no qualms about it. I also have no problem telling people just how i feel, or why I booted them. Simple fact is, if you don't tell em they'll never know.

I'm a big supportwe of having an asgs feedback that will allow me after a game, to write a short note to someone I booted that game, to tell them why I did. It would make me feel better.

And as for screaming, it only helps if your on TS. I would advise getting Ts, even without a Mic, to hear me yell, scream etc. and all the plans i make there.

Bah, and you backseat com, expect com dropped on you after the game is over

I deserved a boot on your team today, but I just left before you could do it.

was I gonna boot you? Maybe. I was defintely thinking about it at the time. Yes I made the wrong call possibly at the time. Was there a better one? Possibly. By that point though, it wouldn't have mattered if we'd killed miners, they had too much. When I saw hvy's I went with the base kill idea, rather than miners. But whatever.

Why? The days when the teacher was the central, focal point and the sole reason for students' presence in class are long gone.

See, in years past, the students went to school because the teacher was their main/only source of knowledge. Given that, some sort of authority was necessary, naturally.

Today, however, students can get just as much info as the teachers have (usually more, given the IT revolution and the earlier generation's trademark difficulties with these new sources), so the teacher's position has shifted more to a guide / discussion moderator. Here's there to encourage thought about the subject. So when a student says "no, I'm going to do this", the correct response would be inquiring as to why he thinks it's a better course of action, rather than playing the dictator and kicking him out (questions of common decency excluded).
