The New Effix Faction, EoR 6a
I like how this thread has changed from "TAC SCOUTS CAN'T KILL THINGS BY RAMMING, LIAR"
into
"TAC SCOUTS CAN KILL THINGS BY RAMMING, SO WHAT? EOR ISN'T BROKEN"
p.s. At this moment I'm sitting in NOAT on EoR listening to Deng+friends talk about how much damage Tac scouts do by ramming.

You rammed another tac scout and it died? Surprise. Tac scouts are kinda fragile. They're not meant to be speedy dodging nan tanks , dog fighters, or pulse probes. They're big fragile machines with an ok scan range and a mountable booster that goes really really fast.Mastametz wrote:QUOTE (Mastametz @ Aug 8 2006, 01:07 PM) I launched in a tac scout. I pointed my ship at an enemy. I pressed boost. Another tac scout would die instantly, as well as some other ships. Some ships I would ram multiple times before they died. Some ships I rammed and kept doing damage, but I died before they did. Other times I died instantly, but still did damage. The only time I didn't do damage was against cap ships.
p.s. Deng, I tried ramming a miner, I took out all its shields and died. I couldn't kill a miner with a tac scout. Any other non-capship, I could.
P.P.S. Many people (especially me) are tired of you making stuff up and preaching it as fact (like missles being IMPOSSIBLE TO SHOOT DOWN on DN, like Minepacks only being able to do damage for one second (which I didn't see myself but heard was written in cdt stuff)
P.P.P.S. good job editing your post to save yourself some humiliation.
But let me make sure I understand you...
You're telling me that you went really really fast and rammed a few ships and you died before the other ships did even though you did some damage as you died?
No offense, but I kinda fail to see how you podding yourself while ramming something at high speeds makes an entire core broken.
Find me an exploit.
Find me something that's truly broken instead of just "different than what you're used to".
Answer my questions in more detail.
Throw me a freaking bone here.

Really? I like how it's changed from "Effix is a cool new faction on EoR" to "I hate EoR, yet somehow, I played EoR for 2+ hours last night."Mastametz wrote:QUOTE (Mastametz @ Aug 9 2006, 05:23 AM) I like how this thread has changed from "TAC SCOUTS CAN'T KILL THINGS BY RAMMING, LIAR"

I mean, honestly. You've made no secret about disliking EoR for the past several months. WTF were you doing on EoR, and WTF are you doing now, except starting @#(! just because you can?

I figure it's constructive if we solve an actual problem along the way, and this may or may not be an actual problem.
The frothing masses are just that, but occasionally you can seperate the wheat from the chaff and get something useful out of the whole mess.
Yes. It's called emergency testing (reason for the edits too, in case you haven't noticed)Mastametz wrote:QUOTE (Mastametz @ Aug 8 2006, 09:23 PM) p.s. At this moment I'm sitting in NOAT on EoR listening to Deng+friends talk about how much damage Tac scouts do by ramming.
Anyways, thanks for pointing it out.

So, rather than post an inflammatory insulting post (or several, as the case may be) in the Gameplay forum, why didn't you post a simple courteous post in the EoR forum to Hawk's attention saying you believe tac scout ramming damage is off?Mastametz wrote:QUOTE (Mastametz @ Aug 9 2006, 05:23 AM) I like how this thread has changed from "TAC SCOUTS CAN'T KILL THINGS BY RAMMING, LIAR"

In conclusion -
Go ahead and have your EoR. Change it and make it better and play on it and do whatever you want. Just don't tell me DN is so broken, and EoR is balanced. I wouldn't say any core is balanced, that's why they are always changed.Terralthra wrote:QUOTE (Terralthra @ Aug 8 2006, 12:19 PM)

As I said already...
Anyways, after testing more, it's definitely a FAZ thing. They also deal damage in 5qb, where they definitely didn't before (or rather, not so much - the increase seems to be about tenfold). Dev team guys, sure you didn't take out "an unneeded assertion" somewhere?

How about you return the favor? I remember at least three separate incidents where you, of your own accord, came to a small EoR game (while a DN one was running) for the single purpose of sitting on noat and blabbering along the lines of "eor is soo broken" and so on and so forth. Which would seem to constitute trolling, at the very least... probably harassment.
