Yeah, I've declined mostly due to this. It's not like any programmer can just waltz in and submit a patch in a few hours on this project.

Development is good, but I highly doubt it's the reason we're in the place we are today.
that was 8 years ago.

We need the default keymapping changed and hi-res gfx standard.

You don't need c++ devs to finish r8 you need artists that know how to rewrite the poorly written mdls

Otherwise r8 is completed.
Do you have any more detail on what is needed and how long you expect it would take to get done? How many mdls need to be re-written?
You can PM me if you want to avoid peanut-gallery responses.

These bugs haven't been fixed yet because don't have any developers interested in fixing them up. --Tigereye

Must:
-Hangar screen needs to be rewritten
-new installer

Would be nice:
-ALL the UI mdls rewritten with dynamic resolution in mind (yes, it was always possible, FU mdl designers)
-Re-record the tutorial sound
-vs2013 (msvc12*) runtimes in the installer (dl link to it + the binaries built with that (I can provide the binaries if needed))

Get those done and the repo back up so I can commit and we can release r8. The default keymap is just a matter of someone submitting a default keymap file ('Artwork/inputmap1.mdl' iirc).

afaik unusable with acss and so unusable with FAO. Also our r8 is better than their r8 :P

Right

Many a moon ago TE was nice enough to share some of the items mentioned by Cashto. RedLion and I dinked around with it presenting the findings which were promptly put in a corner and never thought of again... I believe

Get with pkk I think he is using Google's app or an equivalent to gather stats

Cool then, everything is fine, you've got it all under control and us "peanut-gallery" folks are just wasting your time...

Business as usual.

Me? I am not volunteering to do a thing and don't have the programing chops anyway. I simply believe that data should drive solutions. If it is connection related then we need to do something about it. Basically the numbers could very well make your point. *shrug*
