I love cats, but am quite allergic, like most of us born in the toxin-laden-seventies. Zyrtec is what keeps me going when visiting friends or relatives who live with some, but I can't manage to live in such conditions for long. I'm glad thigs are getting better for you, but I do recommend getting your own, feline free place as soon as possible.

In case you're unaware, there are anti-alergy shampoos that you can use on the cats. The idea here is to attack the problem at the source. The challenge is actually bathing the cats. You might want to check it out.
Here's one link. There's also a spray, apparently. I personally haven't used the product(s), but there are reviews on that site so you can read further. And I'm sure there are other offerings from other companies.
