1400 range will only work if you have a speed of 80 mps or greater.

Sheesh, discussing base scale and whatnot ...
Just fly towards the base and fire SRM AB @1400m.
When you grow up, you learn which bases are larger and how to use TEK to calculate missile ranges.
I think the guide I provided is more than detailed enough for all noobs and is probably too detailed for many people who consider themeselves vets.
