I just ran a comparison in TEK for a 3 Gat3-Belters AdvFig vs a Belters Miner and a 1galv 2 dis3 Belters AdvFig vs the same Belters miner:
TTK (both 80% accuracy):
3 Gat3s 19,9s
1 Galv, 2 Dis3s 72,8s
(I didn't account dumbfire missiles in, the time to kill may sink adequately more with the galv+dis combo then because you can usually take more missiles with you this way)
And that's where I end thinking of buying dis3 as a commander. Because I really care @#(! if my team is able to fight Ints more efficient or not, all they have to kill are utility crafts and scouts (on the bomb/httruns).
Don't equip galvgun if you aren't going to galv. Easy
Get Dis3 if you fight Capships. Easy

The galv let's you start working on the int at 900m or so, Dis 3 also has more range than Gat 3 and a much faster projectile. It doesn't sound like you've actually tried this. It's a good way to fight ints, especially with that IC 20% energy perk.

It's no suprise you prefer Dis + Galv's anyway Adept but you have to realise that just relying on renewable resources really slows down efficiency
