1 and 2 - but, but, but . .. then the noobs won't think I'm smart when I see the game screen change or want to know how I know they have a tac cause the Si rock in Fej is gone!

j/k - all 3 good ideas and I like removing the build sphere view when not eyed as well, even though it's been handy while it has existed.

this is just a 1st round of feedbacks.

Then I'll have to discuss the technical details in the dev team forum.

After that, if there is no technical issues, DB is the dev boss and will eventually conduct ASGS polls.

I love them all, And I think that they will bring alot of strategy into this game, because I cant just wait for your rocks to dissapear, and the con thing is a constant bitching point considering I like to rush opening tech bases and often cannot until I eye the damn rock.

I like all these ideas, but you'll have to make sure it's easy to tell whether a given rock is "eyed" or not. Most games use the dimmed "fog of war" effect for this, we don't have that option.

Maybe the minimap rock icons could be a slightly different color or something when they HAVE been seen, but aren't currently in something's scan range? That way, you at least know if the data is up-to-the-minute current or not.

Well, that's a nice idea. Add a fog of war in F3!

I'm not sure that this is necessary. I believe the way it works currently, until a sector is eyed, the rock does not show up on the minimap. Knowing whether something is currently "eyed" or not is not something we have ever had in allegiance, so why start now?

I like 1 and 2...am indifferent on 3....am happy either way.

1 and 2 will put an even bigger emphasis on scouting and probing. Is it possible to figure out a way to make those 2 thigns worth more points-wise for players? Something to encourage players to actually probe?

Yes on all. #3 will have strategic possibilities. The pro's outweigh the con's. (no pun intended).
