1) so ... Dies IE work now if you use it as your browser?
2) Have you defrag'd/ scandisk'd your hard drive?
3) Have you re-installed Alleg?

You are doing all the right stuff ... I am not sure why you aren't getting in.

It is something on the PC itself ... don't know what that something is though ...

What is the last error you are getting when you launch? Just 'unable to connect to lobby'? Anything is ASGS (click the ... to see the ASGS log).

yes the IE seems to work fine..

i also tried reinstalling allegiance no go..haven't defragged it too recently, not sure what that would help but i will try that.

also when cadillac had some issue with this in the forums (i went through looking to see what other people did to try to fix it) pook told him to go to this website http://asgs.alleg.net/asgs/asgs.asmx/GetClientVersion to see if he could connect, now i got the same error as cadillac did and pook said that it would be a firewall software issue kinda thing..but the weird part is when i use my wireless computer to go to the same link i get the same error yet i can still connect to the lobby..

hmm..i just don't know what it could be ..

i went to start -> run -> msconfig -> services

and disabled everything besides microsoft related things, and i don't think it can be anything with xp firewall or router firewall since it works fine on my other computer..but i think i read here that sometimes other firewalls still exist even if you delete the program, and i did in the past use symantec antivirus and Zone alarm, but i have long since deleted those and they don't exist in any form ( to my knowledge) on my computer

Try this...

Get someone who has laptop and access to other (not strict) networks. Then if he can run Alleg in other networks, and not through your router, then you know what can be the issue right ? Or if you have nothing else 2 do.. you can carry your PC and try connecting thru different networks.

This is very raw testing, but narrows the search very much /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

You're not alone, I've had the same problem for about a year now... (happened right after I got done with cadet class)

Best thing I can say is reconifigure your entire computer. Wipe the hardrive clean and reinstall everything. Thats pry about the only thing I haven't done.

It is an awesome game from the times I've played it. If you have SP2 you should be able to create a disk with your computer (I think) or else you can call up microsoft (or whoever you bought it from) and ask them to send you another copy of the disk because yours is lost.

nope.. no organized beta tests are being conducted. However the beta servers are available. I'm not sure how that might help you, though...
