Bah, 1.1 update ruined my tobacco trading route, lumbering me with tonnes of the stuff that I can't offload.

there are more little bits of the universe named after agri now!

I just sat and watched an hour of this game on Youtube and saw virtually nothing that would interest me in playing this game.
It is very slow and the fighting looks crappy.

if you played elite or frontier and loved them, you will love this. if you played wing commander instead then you will probably hate it.

agri loves it though - it sounds daft to even say this but you really get the impression (in a way that few if any games have managed to achieve before) of how utterly vast space is. that said, it isnt finished and there are bits (exploration) that are a lot more developed than some other bits (combat, mining).

Thank you, I knew I recognised the phrase, I just couldn't place it!

And I totally agree with Agri, E: D isn't for everyone but it's a marvel for those it does suit.

I have to add one critique to ED.
It is Extremely hard to find places that give good missions.
I'm kinda bored of killing pirates with small bounties.

I'd agree with that black, having troubles at the moment finding anything at all actually.

Also, I'm trying to track down some higher end multicannons and beam lasers. I'm in the Sol area now, anyone know of a good station for weapons?

missions, and to be honest combat (not so much the mechanics but the way it takes place), do need to be fixed - as does salvaging

edit: also thanks to raum for being educated.
