It didn't work for me on normal.. but it did on Debug.. (Is that what i'm meant to do?) On normal it just logged me out..

Run dxdiag (start->run->open type in 'dxdiag'). Go to the Display tab and look at the device section.
e.g.
Name: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT
Manu: NVIDIA
Chip Type: GeForce 8800 GT

Manu: NVIDIA

Works well. I read most of this thread and can't seem to remember seeing this problem:
Ripcord/Aleph effects appear before or actual the actual rip/transition.
Otherwise, looked good. Did a quick test with one faction.

I think the "blue sparks" on alephs/rip have always started a couple seconds before the ship actually disappears.

Mine seem to be fixed by uninstalling cortui as well. Played several hours, no crashes. F3 used to be the worst now i can use it again!!!
