P4 3.4 gHz, 2 gb ram, Win XP Pro, Nvidia GEForce 7600 GS

I have 2 main areas of crashing: on the ship loadout screen (so far it has happened consistently when changing guns on Rix or Giga scouts, so no nanning for me for them) and in f3. F3 is more random, but I had one game where I tried 3 times in a row to select a nan on my scout and got dropped each time to the desktop.

Two questions Icky (well three).
Does this happen on the R5 beta?
Are you running full screen or windowed?
Do you have any mods installed?

I haven't tried the R5 beta but I will tonight.
I'm running full screen.
I have CortUI and a crosshair mod installed.

Ah it seems to be.... happening :D . But badp seemed to think i wasn't using it right. esc menu said 08.04.15 but i dunno. I got me an ATI Radeon of osme description. goes in the computer n all ;D says on the box most visuallyt advanced 3d performer... but from what era..? um windows xp home edition. everything worked for me :D but thats assuming i did it right. seems great :D

Edit: It seems i have misplaced my allegiance.exe and now i cannot well you understand. When i copied the dx9 watsit to my alleg folder so i could test the R4 alpha was it suposed to replace something? In either case i didn't delete anything yet so should not the R4 alpha one still be around? and i should be able to just play it instead? but it seems not. lol i think i must have $#@!ed somethin up.

Re-edit: It seems that my alleg.exe has gone walkabouts... so too with the dx9 watsit. im just going to re install normal alleg. and then when yall release this wonderful new V it will be ok :D sorry for the troubles...

Disclaimer: I'm not in the Dev Zone, it just sounded like you were really running the regular client (you said some known alpha glitches like fuzzy bars or aleph dots weren't there).

I just got it, despite the faded color, it runs okay for me. the only problem is that the hanger door (from the inside base view) doesn't appear.

Good to go except for the already known problems, and some other minor issues:

1)The texture for the F4 menu isn't aligned. Instead of pasting itself across "[------]" the texture is starts halfway through and repeats itself "---][---"
2)The minimap menu textures are a bit jagged/cutoff on the corners
3)Some Textures are a bit jagged - semi-transparent areas are opaque, mostly with icons
4)Technoflux logo in game lobby looks funny.
5)Blue text is not blue, it's more of a turquoise color (ie in lobby). (TBC)
6)When something finishes building it turns out black until the build sphere completely disappears.
7)Chatbox background is transparent
EDIT (1/5): 8)When in windowed mode (started fullscreen), Allegiance is always on top/
9)Allegiance uses 100% CPU in the game lobby in full screen, drops down to 85% when in windowed, and down to 10% when minimized.
10)Some textures are unnaturally blocky. Smooth gradients are not smooth, but change color in chunks

Followed instructions. No mods except for eye, crosshairs, arrows and highres buildsphere.

Settings:
Resolution: 1024x768x32@60hz Fullscreen
Vsync On
Textures: 512x512
No mipmaps (take too long to generate)
Texturepacks unchecked

Computer specs:
CPU: 1.7 Ghz AMD Duron
RAM: 768 MB
OS: Windows XP Professional SP3 - Latest updates
GPU: ATI Radeon 9200SE w/ 128MB RAM - Latest drivers

Also, I thought this was supposed to be a DX9 test. My video card is a DX8 card and runs this fine.... >_>

Pics:

The words Technoflux and part of the ring is oddly colored

Note the chatbox transparency and the black sphere (build sphere right before it finishes)

Note the jagged edges on the minimap and inventory and the lack of semi transparency/anti aliasing with icons (aleph, garrison, etc)

EDIT (1/5):
Win Conditions Column has blocky dropdowns, game options doesn't. Also, notice that Firefox is selected, but Allegiance is still on top.

tested with

NVIDIA GForce 6100 nForce 430 - updated dx
1280 x 1040 @75hz fullscreen - vertical sync enabled
Cort UI, thinline guages, hi res backgrounds, rocks, alephs etc...
ran well 120-140 fps

problems with broken background on minimap and loadout
when i was podded my thinline HUD repeated itself vertically

-- both known issues--

i only played for 5 minutes to test it out, might do a longer test later... hope that helps

AMD Sempron 3000+
ATI Radeon 9000 series
256 Mb RAM
Full screen 1024x768
All work fine (exept knows issues...)after 2 or 3 games on the main :)
