But is it possible to make the effect a missle has something else then an explosion? Probably so, since there are resonators. If Core developers could set the effect of a missle, that'd give them some more usability, such as launchable probes and drones.

-Ability to use guns in the missle slot and missles in the gun slot: Bascially just define primary and Secondary weapons by what key you press to fire them.
-Secondary Fire for Turrets: similar to above, enable turrets to fire guns and missles at the same time.

Allow for different AI 'types'
This could either be a core property that is fixed per ship
-basic miners use 'classic' AI
-advanced miners use 'advanced' AI
Or it could be a property the com can set in game
-scardy (run at the first sight of trouble)
-tough (don't run till 50% hull damaged)
-manual (no AI just follow orders)
Or a combo of both
This of course would have to be paired with code changes.

-Drone Unit Caps defined in core: example, able to define a faction to have more than one op con at a time. Also include a flag saying if that drone type is modified by the r4 "# of miners" game options.
