You know what I want? A big, steaming, pile of Enchilada's. I could have had both my testicles removed, grown bitch tits, had my eyes removed, lose my job, have my girlfriend dump me, have all my fingers cut off by an oscillating fan, and I would still be happy as long as I could get a feckin Enchilada.
Why? Because I $#@!ing love Mexican food.
Now, lets all go eat some food, and stop flaming in this thread. Its point has been argued to its end, and the personal flames are just friggin retarded.

I think I have something here:
Noobs can develop into newbs or nubs. We don't want the nubs.
EDIT:
Accidentally had noob and newb switch around /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

Well our good friend that introduced us to the game warned us about this and he was exactly right.. you guys flame anyone that isnt a super veteran.. even if they make logical and applicable criticisms.... I'd also like it known that i misspelled Grammar incorrectly on purpose.... but you guys have a stick so far up your super righteous behinds you couldnt see the freight train coming to destroy this game if it was right in front (below since you are so far above the rst of the world) of you.....
my post wasnt about the tactics of the game... as a veteran I think im qualified to say that the tactics most people use while maybe effective here.. certainly would never work in a real space environment (something which as having a few rocket scientists, real ones, gives me the authority on this)
Secondly.... when you are part of a gaming community... you are supposed to respect ALL members of the community.. even idiot newbies like myself... why.. BECAUSE WE ARE NEW... as I stated before.. I read the entire allegiance academy website as well as ran through some dry flight missions to get the hang of controls and commands... The questions i asked were relevant.. not basic... and could have been answered in less than 30 seconds... But the teams were too busy arguing about how stupid certain tactics used by other team members (not myself) were using...
Thirdly..and finally... The amount of spam allowed on these forums is inconceivable... ... Getting around the censor... itso knows better than that as our webmaster.. but he also saw how disrespectful everyone else was..
You might be a veteran... and you might be DAMNED good at this game... which gives you the authority to say what im doing is right or wrong IN THE GAME... but as for your social skills... you leave much to be fragging desired chummers....
I really do appreciate _IB and some of the other older vets that actually offered helpful links and advice... It is noted by us and we do recognize TRUE leadership.... That must be why none of you flamers are leading the project... not only do you have nothing to offer the project (besides your expertise in how to flame properly) But you probably also have no social communication skills and could not work in a REAL productive environment...
Itso... leave this post stop defending me bro... I know you are doing it to defend the Midori name... but these guys are chumps... they might be ultra elite at this game.. but remember.. we play 100s of games and would own them in ALL of them... we will just have to work our way here up silently.. and then crush them when they least expect it.. ...
BTW.. Commander... vouching for us here would have been a real help lol for someone that was here since almost the beggining we would have appreciated your support... I know you are a busy man and cant use your voice after 1am but hey cut us some slack ;-) HEHE...

I am nowhere near a super vet, yet I have not been flamed once on the forums or in game.

alleg != real space environment, just as computer games != real life.

Even though half the time I have no idea what I am talking about, I get the feeling that a majority of this community respects me, for some unknown reason. I had a heated debate with a long time vet over a very contriversial topic, and while we never agreed, I do not feel like it has hurt my rep in any way.

I dont see all this spam you are talking about, but if I did, I would eat it because spam is tasty.
In short, maybe it's just me, but I dont feel the same sort of disrespect that you are feeling from the community at large. Granted, this is really the first gamming community Ive been a memeber of, I dont play hundreds of games, and I own in none of them (alleg included), but I feel rather welcome here.
Plus this community has a sense of humor. If you dont believe me, read that rant fourms and play during off peak hours more.

It was just one game, forget about it. It's not like there aren't hundreds of games every day, you can't expect every one of them to be filled with helpful people (and even if it was and you don't sympathize with those people then don't say anything and find others that you find helpful).

So I save one guy from the shark tank, but I fall in myself? I think you guys are unwilling to address the problem. You just don't want to hear that someone thinks your community is rotten, so you have to go attack and discredit them. That way their opinion is worthless and you can just go on without paying attention to him. And when someone tries to help that person out and redirect the posting towards why the topic was created in the first place, it starts all over again.
So flame me all you want, feel free. Just know that it doesn't help anything, and you are only wasting your time.
nah I try not to flame thats why I removed the " bucket of turds "with " guy " when talking about your friend. I flamed YOU not at all. I simply stated something along the lines of; You should stand on your own two feet, grow a pair, and give YOUR observations on the community. I will admit the door comment to your friend was a bit harsh but still damn good advice.
Your part of the some clan/squad/federation ---> We get it.
Your friend is part of the same clan/squad/federation ---> We get it.
Your friend is grand pubah of said clan/squad/federation ---> We get it.
You think the community is jerks ---->We get it.
Your friend thinks the community is jerks ---> We get it.
You think your friend is grand ---> We get it.
Your friend thinks he e-peen is tremendous ---> We get it.
Your acting like adolescents out for a night of trolling ---> We get it.

Ummm you brought all of this upon yourself. You deserve it. If you have read the rest of the forum (okay, not all) you should have noticed many of the other noobs getting help from the community. Granted, some vets act . . . funny towards others. I don't know what everyone else thinks of it, but I call it SARCASM. Get it in your head these guys have been playing so long and many have known each other for a while. Don't tell me you don't know how buddies act when they've known each other for years and years . . . .
Then again, it might not surprise me? Well, I can't say because I don't know you but I do know that this thread was intended to be FLAME BAIT. Been there, done that. Could someone lock this, please?

QUOTE (Darkpriest667)...[/quote]
Your arguments are not my concern. The right or wrong of it is of little importance to me. What is worthy of note is that you have directed your anger at an entire community. Personally, I don't hold it against you, but I wish you would reconsider your arguments or at least direct them with precision. You have a grudge with a player or players, that's understandable. It happens. There are ways to address these issues without collateral damage.

Dark,
You are the one that started the aggresive tone of this thread with you original post. Since then it has been explained to you how to properly have your questions answered. Hardly anyone uses the chatline to communicate. You were told to get teamspeak. You complained about that. You were told that the main gaming community is on at peak hours. You had a problem with that too. This community has really setup a nice learning process, but you sound as if you expect them to personalize it for your own convenience. I am not trying to flame at all. You attacked an entire gaming community with your original post, due to a bad experience you had with a few players who didn't want to babysit you at that time. Even after being informed of how you should have approached everything differently, you still maintain that you have been mistreated. There are many players here who just want to play... not teach. Go through the proper channels, and the gaming here will be a lot more pleasant. Trust me on that one.
One thing that new players don't realize... it took me awhile to see this also. Many of these guys have been playing together for years. I was struck a little myself of how they can talk to one another. Then I realized, its just like the normal smack talk my own buddies and I have. Just try and roll with it.
