Sigh.

There really doesn't need to be a big drama.

OK.
RT members were a bit short earlier in this thread cos they felt people were suddenly deciding things were happening including them without feeling consulted at all.

Facts (my take)
The game is more than two weeks away.
Technical discussion doesn't all have to happen today right now in this thread.
RT are discussing this internally and will decide our position, so please give us a little time to digest the idea (live streaming of games appears quite new to some players - it's new to me in fact).
This is the biggest game RT has been involved in for years / ever, (so please excuse a few rash responses).

My opinion
Slating RT as a whole cos a few members have stated different things, and we haven't officially stated we are against the idea seems a bit excessive.
Continued posts in this thread seem a little pointless since RT haven't as a squad decided what we are doing.
Chilling out a bit and showing patience would be appreciated.

Streaming squadgames sounds like an excellent idea, although If I was commanding I would require the stream to be delayed until the game is over. Giving out information on what is going on, even with a X minute delay, puts you at a disadvantage.

So please go ahead and stream the game. I will definitely watch!

Ask questions and they shall be answered :)

Just know that we in System X will keep doing what we have always done, what is best for Allegiance.
This might actually be the most bull@#(! I've ever read in a single post

Maybe this was discussed in length in the invisible senate forum, but there was little communication with RT of the group (perhaps a failure of leadership). So it ended up looking like Sai/Dorj/Spidey had decided this was going to happen without even talking to RT for their opinion.

RT has never acted against Alleg's interests (just for Spidey's sake we have made some videos public), and I doubt any squad out there is against expanding allegiance's player base.

I think we can leave that job to @Guns22

~edit~
Bah I basically echo NJ's sentiment regarding not making this a huge thing

When did I ever say rt acted against alleg best interest? If you could quote that it would clear things up for me sir das. (don't waste your time you can't). The fact is sysx is all for this...and rt is not all for it. That is the fact at this point.

Also isn't deng squad leadership? He speaks for you all as gandalf alluded too does he not?

Das it seemed you were for this idea earlier. are you not now? were you ever?

Well, you didn't say it specifically, but...

Literally: RT must do what is best for RT
Figuratively: RT puts other stuff before Allegiance

It's an implied message. You didn't outright say RT acts against Allegiance's best interests, but it's probably the first inference one gets. (Me: Guilty as charged)

It sounds like you got it from one of those politician commercials really

Umm so you are saying there is nothing in between acting against something and doing what is best? Life is composed only of extremes in your mind.

If this is confusing let me know

This is a prime example of how miscommunication/lack of communication/misunderstandings escalate into unintended accusations.

Everybody needs to go back to square 1, make sure everybody is on the same page regarding how this is going to play out (It should be obvious that several RT's had no idea what a "live" stream site such as ustream was) and go from here. This is a phenomenal chance to broadcast what should be an amazing game, don't let minor misunderstandings undermine this idea.

Can we all act like the adults we are instead of 7 year old elementary kids at the playground?

What I'm saying is your stupid "Overlord Complex" + Politician Commercials = People think you think your competition is not doing what's best for Allegiance. I'm pretty sure the people that got offended got the message I was trying to tell you.

I do agree with what you're saying about there is stuff between acting against something and doing what is best.

Ahh, but what do you think elzam? Do you think streaming a good game is a good or bad idea? Think for yourself, don't be chattel!
