Wow, I'm sure glad you flamed his a$$. Now we can all be at peace.

Flaming? Did I make any personal attacks? No. Was my post irrelevant? No. I merely explained some things, pointed some stuff out. All in hope for the better. Was it a bit harsh? Yeah, but he earned it. So, no flame there, bud.

That was a helpfull post Ograss made, explaining the details of CDT, a wonderful program i reccomend to anyone interested in this Game.

I notice a repetitive pattern in this, and that is most of these "ranters" play non peak, alot of games are very bad during these times and are hardly a representation of the community!

Whiney noobs are annoying noobs, there is redemption, but only in short consise posts.
Only stupid rants should be 1 screen+ long IMO

BTW most ppl who will give you @#(! ither are just pissed at losing and people who dont know the game like the back of their hand ARE the reason, or they are just giving you crap, learn to tell one from the other and you will survive and learn to be one with the 'hate'.

Honestly, I have yet to see any voob or vet get annoyed/irritated/blame me because of losing (although I'm certain I've probably contributed to the loss).

If I may be so bold, I think (outside of perhaps one or two that may come along) attitude has a lot to do with it. If, after the game, you start yammering about how the com should of allowed you to build a bbr or how blah blah didn't do something right, I would expect nearly everyone to jump down your throat. Besides that, after a game I would think a wise noobie would just shut the hell up and pay attention to everyone else commenting on why the game was a loss. Even if the signal to noise ratio is low and the flame is high, there are still lots of nuggets in there.

IMHO. YMMV.

(PS, this isn't a response directly to you, Rand0m_Numb3r, but a general observation.)

Next defending the guy who started this thread is a very weak position and well you ain't got the forum juice to pull it off.

If YOU have something to say about your experiences you'll be given an oppurtunity to speak up. However you've got the big spotlight on you now and well you already tripped getting on stage. Best bring your A game son because O is a sweetheart compared to * shudder * some of the meanies.

So I save one guy from the shark tank, but I fall in myself? I think you guys are unwilling to address the problem. You just don't want to hear that someone thinks your community is rotten, so you have to go attack and discredit them. That way their opinion is worthless and you can just go on without paying attention to him. And when someone tries to help that person out and redirect the posting towards why the topic was created in the first place, it starts all over again.

So flame me all you want, feel free. Just know that it doesn't help anything, and you are only wasting your time.

The response that the community at large has given is basically a practiced one. We've seen people making comments on how the community is evil and juvenile, what-have-you, and we've discussed the behavior of the people in game and the people on the forum to great lengths. We've come up with what you see above you.

If you're going, go already. If you think you know everything, have some humble pie. If you sit down and wait patiently good things shall come to you.

And then depending on the alignment of the planets a, "Have a nice day!" may be added.

Coincidentally, I will not be wishing anyone a nice day.
