Rick Perry will punch cancer in the face

If you had ideas like Ron Paul I might at least respect you but all I hear is whining.
No no no.
Michele Bachmann is a crazy presidential candidate, don't you watch the news?
I'm George Clooney.
You're Helen Thomas.
Rick Perry is a hitman hired by PZ Myers to kill Jon Huntsman before he finds out that evolution is a communist conspiracy to make innocent American children hate chocolate. But that's beside the point.
The point is, I'm not happy with how people are playing Alleg.

You just proved my point... if me saying I hate XC seems to you like Striker's rants, Alleg standards for drama have also fallen sharply. :P

I'm not happy with games on XC... pick up games can suck without a good reason, but I believe XC gives people an excuse to lower the bar further.

So I sit in a serv called CC main which I made myself all alone.
any details of why you dislike xc? I personally think ints are underpowered in 06- a 3 nan bomb run with ac 1 and nan 1 took out a base vs 4 mini 2 ints... with people shooting the nans

Each and every techpath has been morphed into some sort of "aim to win" thing. XT think that they aim the best, so they want to stack the "competitive deck" in their favor.

More power to them, especially because people are playing it. But it most certainly does not make for fun PUG's because I can't count on my players to be able to complete simple tasks. In order to succeed they need to be able to aim competently, which is something that can be very difficult for even players in second tier squads.

Agreed; this game needs better trolls.

At what point did you decide that people who can aim should not have a clear advantage over people who can't? Are you on drugs, sir?

(Funkmaster is responding to Malicious Wraith here, not to me, just FYI, still I wish to add my 2c)

First let me say that one of the three reasons I love Allegiance is the emphasis on real skills, there are no RPG stats nor TF2 style special weapons to collect.
I really love the fact that it's taken me years to master some skills and the fact that I know I'll never be as good as some (many? most?) people is not a downside, it's a positive incentive.
However, this works only because aiming is not everything in Alleg. It never was...
There's situational awareness, there's the ability to manage your goals in a tactical environment (i.e. run and save your kb), there are even ships and tech paths which actually rely on true ninja skills...

In short, no, people who can aim should not have a clear advantage over people who can't.
A team with a good mix of skills should prevail against a team of whores.

What I see at the moment is not just a rise in whoring, it's a loss and decline in importance of other skills, newbies being initiated to quake in space and to top it off, core changes being made which can serve to perpetuate these trends.

Now I retire to patiently await the responses from people whose job it is to misunderstand what others meticulously phrase.
