Really? The 1st one was obvious but still good but the 2nd one was obvious and poor.

well I don't see what was so great about it, it was an ending, it was obvious and unlike the 1st one there was no dark humour which makes up for the obvious result but the 2nd one is just boring, would have been more interesting if anything but that ending happened.

the second episode was duller than the first, but for all that it was much better than the vast majority of tv programming nowadays and should really be celebrated.

some collected agri views:

that dwarf is a primitive form of midget agri
did the yanks really know there would be incest in it or is it ok because it is "british"?
that prince is by far the most annoying character in it, why on earth was it only the king who wondered why he had been beaten up by a four foot high girl with a stick
the wolves have stupid names
the wall is remarkably dull on first viewing
“Life,” the belgian agri observed, “is a long dialogue with imbeciles.’’

BBC Dambusters programme: "By the time they (617 Squadron) had dropped their bombs on the Eder Dam, they were flying at the height of that lamp-post"

I liked the pilot so much last week that I started reading the books about 2 seconds after I finished it (Kindle FTW!). So far the book is fantastic and I'm quite enjoying it. There are a lot of names to wade through and keep straight (a lot of names), but it's totally worth it.

The 2nd episode was good, but as I'd just read that part of the book a few days previous, it wasn't quite as exciting. It is nice, though, to get certain plot points reaffirmed shortly after reading. There's a lot to keep straight and to remember to get the full effect of what's going on so the refresher is good.

I'm reading the books now, and i think while they try to be grand on the scale of character development and plot, it seems to be missing something. Its good... awesome even.. but a lot of people are saying its one of the best series of all time, and i just don't think they read many fantasy novels. I'm notoriously hard to please though. One main complaint was that i kept finding myself suddenly lost multiple times because of the hordes of people he introduces in a short amount of time, then having to try to mentally keep track of em all throughout the book. Lord X of X, lord X of Y, Lord J of P, on and on and on.

I haven't watched the HBO version of it, mainly because i don't subscribe to cable/satellite.

I hear you subscribe to this thing that ships peices of information over a series of tubes. You might want to investigate further.

Some people are law abiding citizens! If that's what you meant anyway.

Personally I don't read fantasy because it's usually a drudge, Harry Potter was good enough for me thanks. I did read Mogworld by Yahtzee though, but after watching these eps I don't think it would be worth a read. Watch? Yes, but I'll stick to legal thrillers for my mass market fiction needs.
