Got it the other day, haven't watched yet. Gonna check it out, seems fairly decent from what the reviews say. But I'm really into the Chicago Code now so this could be a one and done thing, at least until semester ends.

You should read the books as well. It is the best fantasy series I have read so far, full of intrigue, murder and war. :)

Of course I love the series as well and can't wait to see the second episode. If I had the possibility to sign up for HBO, I would.

I've read all the books as well (although not recently) and I think a lot of the scenes in the books have been translated very well into the series

After watching the pilot, I think the saying "incest is best; put your sister to the test" really applies here.

Also I read what wikipedia had to say on the entire series, it seems like there's more intrigue and backstabbing than a high school cheerleading club! A political drama set in a medieval universe?! This is like Brothelstar Fantastica.

I have read the books, and my wife who is not a fantasy person is so enthralled with the series, that SHE wants to read the books now. BTW, they are ending every episode so $#@!ing awesomely. Things just keep getting better and better :)
