I can see how destroying things increases the capability to better repair things.

Right, just like how destroying more things make your weapons stronger!

Dont mess with game mechanic, the current KB system is fine. But maybe adding nannage to points is a good one.

But then I might actually show up on leaderboards...

tbh, i dont think anyone really cares enough about rank to try and exploit points for nanning. I dont think a separate kb for nanning is really needed, but i do think that points for nanning is a good idea.

Points have nothing to do with rank, only winning and losing. ~cg and click on one of Baker's links.
Keeping track of the statistics may be possible for nannage *shrugs* ask the devs
No to the kb idea

I don't think this would work, for one, nanning miners 'n' such when they're attacked will probably rack you THOUSANDS of points in a game, and unless you want the "DAMAGE HEALED" column to be ten digits wide (as well as the stat to be practically untrackable and unremarkable on a leaderboard) this idea has no real merit.

It doesn't take a stat to recognise important work like nanning. Dropping probes? Maybe. Or having a stat for everytime a probe of yours detects a previously uneyed bomber/miner/IB. But a damaged healed stat?! Useless. We know who is a good nanner because they're the one defending a con/miner or they're on a bomb run that walks 6K to an enemy Exp (with their fellow nans still alive cuz of X-nannin').

I just want to see numbers. Recognition is in order. As far as kb goes, I don't have to exploit in any way. I just build with prox kills for the late game bbr runs. This is about tracking. Not epeen.

I am all for any stats available. Not so much about rank, but seeing a person's work. Regarding rank, we would only have 2 columns if we only tracked what we are rewarded for; Win/Loss. Then again, Baker has mentioned that there are things in the works. Said something about Two Weeks.

this smells like a code change to me, its easy to track kill events, its programmed in, nanning... trickier

A question for Baker, how hard would this be to integrate into AS 2.0? My whole point with this is: Who of you spent a whole game nanning a miner, or bomb run after bomb run, only to come out last in the standings. And for all of you who say, "But Moose, points don't matter one bit!" I say to you, "Pull your head out. Yes they do." As ironic as it may seem, we don't currently quantify their importance, but it matters to people. Whether it should or not is a different question, nut it does.

I thought it might be cool to increase KB based on hull points repaired, but the potential for abuse is too great. To me KB is simply how good of a shot you are, whether with a nanite or a mini 3. As has been pounded into our heads all the way through cadet, nanning and probing wins games. I would simply like to be able to quantify and recognize those who do such.

 I was talking to Baker on irc this am, and this very question came up. You do get points for naning.
Everytime I get the answer figured out, someone goes and changes the question.
