Blizzard uses torrents all the time for all of their patches, but covers it with a nifty little exe file. If we were to do this, it might work.

Why isn't the file on SourceForge.net? we are open source, I think we even have a project there, tons of servers and bandwith for free from what I know.

p.s. may also benefit from extra trafic of noobs ^^.

If you have a resnable reason why not to use it I will spare a URL mayslef ^^.

p.s.s. The simple form of round robin script may suck badly if we don't prequalify, check, ect, if u have to retry to download.........

RapidShare could also provide a nice URL altough just free as in beer.

I probebly can come up with some more idea's ^^.

What is our download count/bandwith for that anyway?

How do I sade this edit ^^?

We're not open source AFAIAA. Microsoft holds the rights to the code, they have just given permission for us to use it in a non profit way. I don't think we are allowed to host it on source forge as Source forge is for truly open-source projects.

A few test for free file hosting options:

(reducing time from TE on checking stuff out)

File upload sites:
*rapidshare
http://rapidshare.com/files/175148709/Alle..._Setup.exe.html

* This take a lot of upload time for me so will be added by edit when files are up

O.o

The last thing we need is Rapidshare's help

I'd rather host the thing on my 100-megs Google Pages hosting than having to resort to rapid@#(!.

Isn't the setup.exe about the whole installation?

I have a couple servers up on dedicated lines. I'll see if it's within the terms of use.
