Made a bomber concept for the faction. Click on it to get the version with each engine's intake/exhaust labeled.

Yes, I noticed the one intake is screwy - I've already fixed that.

It's the Fighter concept with the body widened, nose shortened, missile tubes added, the primary outer engines connected to the body rather than on wings, only one set of horizontal stabilizers, that are also not at such an angle, cockpit changed around a bit, a second dorsal engine added, two gun mounts removed, the other two moved, the two bottom engines gained another along the bottom, and the three 'internal' engines were added.

it looks better now /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

you're getting quite good at this andon /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />

I personally like to make models out of one single object though, since that is easier to map and has no polies sticking in other parts that dont show in game, but are rendered. but this will work fine too.

p.s. you seem to like engines alot...

The engines are part of the faction. Brute force and all that.

AS for the separate objects - I try to reduce the number of polies that are not showing by deleting all that I can, after I'm pretty sure that I won't need them. I like it in many pieces so that I can change it around really easily

Yes the separate parts do lend themselves to better editability. Also Loriana I have to disagree on the mapping... I think a complex group of simple parts is much easier to map than a single, complex part. But that may be due to my very low level of mapping experience.

@andon
You design are highly inspired by GT.. make some more drawing on paper before you set off to make them in 3D

I can't draw!

The only thing I can really do with any sort of skill is 3d work

I like this one /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

moar engines /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />
it looks very heavy. you gonna give it a huge mass?
I like the wider bit at the back of the engines. also the fins look much better on this one. now all it needs is a kickass skin.

comments.... push the top two engine nacelles back. It looks like a chow hound right now.

Ain't nothing wrong with a bit hitbox on a bbr.

BTW: Andon, you might consider something on the lines of creating a Bbr focused faction, whatever that may mean. I like the big, mean, in-your-face look.
