Need help in miner hunting
If you were eyed, Deb, the miners would have started travelling back to base if there were no enemy ships on the sector. If you check around the rocks, turn your radar to all so you can check the he3 levels without leaving your cockpit, and you don\'t notice any miner activity, the next step would either to boost to the enemy base, if there is one in the sector, or the nearest aleph to an enemy base, since that is where the miners will head. You might bump into one on your way there.

yes, u are true. but booting really hurts sometimes. however, thanks to all of u for advising me. What I got from all the replies that I was not wrong at that time and I will try it again in suitable situations. Thank you everyone.Icky wrote:QUOTE (Icky @ Feb 28 2008, 09:14 PM) I was in that game, on your team at the time. Comm was already pissed off, and I think it was more a reflection of his frustration that what you did personally.

Boots happen, everyone has been (or should have been) booted at some time or another, even the really high end players have gotten the Doc Marten to the ass once or twice, never take offense at it. hunting miners in an int isnt as good as scout/int combo, and some comms are rather bitchy over this, to the point that if you're hunting miners in an int, and you're not one of the "unbootables" (aarm, drizz, etc..) then you might just get the boot. Just come back on in a hider, join the other team, and hunt one of the first teams miners in an int, and laugh at the comm if you get it... /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" /> some of the best moments in allegiance are the "I told you so moments" - usually having to do with "I told you we'd get bbr'ed if we didnt probe raiko" /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" /> [side note: you should have been probing raiko, hehe]

Woops, it was just my faulty memory, your previous post refreshed it.DebDoot wrote:QUOTE (DebDoot @ Feb 28 2008, 05:41 PM) No, I was not scouting in an int. Plz, I am not a vet, but not a newbie also. I am playing here for 9-10 months and got the rank of 11. Though rank does not matter much, but having a rank of 11, I think nobody will expect me to scout the map with ints /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> . Did the comm said so after i was booted? If yes, its a big lie.

hahahahahahaha, nice idea man! heh heh, this is really great. /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" /> /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" /> /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />Tumbleweed wrote:QUOTE (Tumbleweed @ Feb 28 2008, 10:38 PM) Boots happen, everyone has been (or should have been) booted at some time or another, even the really high end players have gotten the Doc Marten to the ass once or twice, never take offense at it. hunting miners in an int isnt as good as scout/int combo, and some comms are rather bitchy over this, to the point that if you're hunting miners in an int, and you're not one of the "unbootables" (aarm, drizz, etc..) then you might just get the boot. slap wrote:QUOTE (slap @ Oct 7 2009, 01:28 AM) good point, I concede.
I was commander. You were in an int. The miners weren't in that sector. If you'd read that chat they were high. You were in an Int in a sector that didn't even have HE at that point. I'd asked for scouts to eye the miners. I turn around and see you, in an Int, flying aimlessly between rocks. I asked what you were doing, you said "looking for miners" and that was it for me. The sheer amount of people not doing what they are supposed to in that game just made me loose it. You and several other people got the boot that game, for another one whining about it check the rants forum...
Now, did you learn something from this? If your in an int, take a buddy with you in a scout so he can help you find the miners. Theres no use trying to "find a miner" if your not absolutely positive they are there. People like champy, sheff, vandal, they all know exactly where the miner is going to be. They can do it in a scout/int/fig/sf whatever, because they know whats going on.
It wasn't about you, it could have been anyone. If I'd seen someone I liked that game doing it, they would have gotten the boot too. But you've learned now and the community has posted advice, so use the advice. Good. Now were done.
edit - if drizzo or aarm were being idiots, I'd boot them too. Simple.

Well I am not going to quarrel with you about the points you mentioned in your first paragraph. Just tell me one thing, if my minimap shows 135 he in a sector, is there any possibility that the sector contains no he? If you recall the game, you will find that i was not flying aimlessly, but flying from one he rock to another.guitarism wrote:QUOTE (guitarism @ Feb 28 2008, 11:44 PM) You were in an Int in a sector that didn't even have HE at that point. edit - if drizzo or aarm were being idiots, I'd boot them too. What you have said in your last 3 paragraphs is quite right. Yes, I am not like champy, drizzo,...Compared to them, I may be useless in a game (though I dont beleive that!). But I am sure, champy or drizzo were not champy or drizzo as at present they are from the begining.
Another thing is, it is not always possible to call a scout with me. In most of the games, I saw people remain busy doing their duties in the game. I think if i call a scout for helping me in miner hunting, I will be calling for the whole game without having a scout. This is not because people are not helping, this is because of the versatility of works people have to do in allegiance.
One last comment. I am making a promise here to all of you. If I become a commander in future (when i will be capable of commanding i mean), I will not boot anyone before giving a warning.
