Yep I am, I unistall and install it all over again, it updates(what on dial up takes ages for) and after the bsg update(at the game screen) the game just crashes givin this exception access violatio error, I cant even conect at the lobby. and just as a stated note, b4 the update I was playing fine, all this begun after the bsg update.
QUOTE I know this is going to be a strange question, but did you have an update done for the .NET stuff? I had a problem with it, so it could be part of yours.[/quote]
I have the net 2.0 from a long time ago, after the first error I thought it would a .net issue, so I reinstalled but it still gives me the same error. So I guess this isnt a .net issue since when the game does not have bein updated it launches normally, it only crashes after the bsg update.

I have all the chat packs: duke, sw, familyguy, fmj, futurama, 300, transformers... and they all work even though they don't appear in the sounddef.mdl

I have the same problem as Arch.
Before the update I was working just fine now I crash out when entering the lobbie every time with the " Exception_acces_violation" error. Have uninstalled and reinstalled .Net and Alleg quite a few times now and still no worky. I'm about to just give up and give Alleg a heave out the door.

Ice, I could be wrong, but in your case I don't think it's a .NET problem. Usually .NET problems manifest themselves BEFORE you can get to the lobby. (I'm not positive of this, of course.) Post up your issue in the helpline following the template in the READ ME FIRST sticky.

Freeb I guess the lobby issue can be just like mine, when you install it runs fine, after the update, u try to conect the lobby and the game crashes. after that the game keeps crashing b4 launching.

Working Solution:
Delete everything in the artwork directory.
Let it try to finish the install
Uninstall Allegiance
Reinstall Allegiance.

Just deleting all the files (it'll be more than one) will just end up with a corrupt alleg,

PS: can't just reistall alleg... same error message will reoccur.

Guys, a very important point!

If you are uninstalling and reinstalling, please use the latest installer from the downloads section.

PRE-R4 INSTALLERS NO LONGER WORK.

Hi, moron here.

If you change your files in the artwork directory, you risk having problems. It's always been like that in Allegiance, and is like that in many other games too.

The latest AutoUpdate was tested and worked fine with a stock install of Allegiance.
If you are having problems and you have previously modified your Allegiance installation, you may want to re-apply whatever modifications you made to solve your problems.
If you still have problems, I'd suggest a clean re-install of the latest installer.

If you modify your Allegiance installation, be sure you understand your modifications so you can overcome these and any other related problems.
