Cadet seriously isnt overkill, is just shows how steep the learning curve of this game is, you may think you have sussed out the shooting bit, but there really is tonnes more that will keep you occupied for weeks, such as stealth tactics, faction differences, going to cadet is well worth it, especially if you intend on joining a squad in the near future.

( Course i dont mind you stealing it, its awesome /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" /> )

All cadet takes is a few minutes a day. Just read the mian post for the week and maybe one or two of the others. You really dont have to post anything either.

Although of course the more you put in, the more you'll get out. Cadets greatest strength is that it supplies a forum where you can ask questions and recieve a straight answer (just try asking newbie questions on the main forum and you'll get 15 different answers, probably all missing at least some of the point).

@BV - I hesitate to suggest this, but shouldn't Hint be in that list? I know lots of people don't like it but it is in use and the list should be comprehensive...

Yup, but until there are no Voobs in the community then the term will be in use /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

I prefer H-yyy and L-yyy
with E-zzz and A-zzz
but then again, I use MRM and SRM mostly.

Hints though, are what you check the help files for. /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

H-ints, get the Hint /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

I'm surprised that nobody has made a rant about such things, or maybe they have and I've forgotten.

Saying hint when you mean Heavy Interceptor is the equivalent of saying turrents all the time.

And therefore it is even more imperative (if that makes grammatical sense) to list Heavy Interceptors as H-ints or Hvy Ints or anything but Hints and hints, so that all the newbies will learn good habits, not bad ones. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Edit: *wait for someone to come along and say "But it IS turrents!"*
