Well, I was able to connect to the lobby, connect to a server and play - all without port forwarding/triggering. My setup :
Computer -> Netgear Rangemax 240 -> Huawei MT882 (Modem/Router configured as dumb-modem)-> DSL. Everything is wired. UPnP is on with the Rangemax.

My apologies to mdvalley, my network went down last night and I wasnt able to get back on when I told him I would be back with my results.
I reinstalled DirectX 9.0c, to fix the dplay8 errors that dxdiag was reporting. After the reinstall, I am still getting the errors. My problem continues...

EDIT: And if I am just unable to get through using the dplay8 thing, its not a huge deal... I can still get through to the normal lobby /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

I just installed the client, but it tried to make an inbound connection to 2303 just as usual ??? when I clicked on games listing.
EDIT: nm, forgot to copy over artwork /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Doesn't connect though. And I really don't know why it's trying to make a DPlay 7 connection.
