Give more ships the ability to drop probes?
And have even fewer scouts flying around, ready to nan stuff in emergency?
I consider the tf and rix sfs complete cheese because of their probing ability.
..let me correct that. I consider them complete cheese because of their probing ability that is superior to regular scouts.
Probing ints? not a chance.
Probing bombers/capships/htts? nobody would want to do it (more than once for kicks).
Probing figs I could accept if they had only half the probe capacity of regular scouts, which isn't possible at the moment. You'd get a ship that sacrifices ammo/missile capacity that has higher sig than a scout and significantly less regular scanrange.
I also don't want to see more ships that can hold 20+ probes in them for probe art purposes, so anything with big cargo capacity is off limits.
Hmm.. remove tf and rix sfs probing ability and let all sbs probe instead.. If you really wanted to get a stealthy prober it'd be slow and cost money. (especially tf sf needs probing ability removed, they don't really use missiles or plasgens that much and can pretty much always bring a few slots of probes with them, which at advanced level is as much as a regular scout with full load..)

Fairy Tales are more than true; not because they tell us that dragons exist, but because they tell us that dragons can be beaten.

i think scouts need more probe capacity. Seriously I normaly probe once a game at the beginning, after that my awesomeness is needed in other arenas...
bahahahahabahahaha
... nonetheless at max i can sparesely probe 2 sectors. that is bs. I would double, even triple the amount of probes a basic scout can carry simply bc no one probes and it is making probage too big a part of the game. having said that i recognize this change will never happen bc Noir likes to get his kudos from XT for flying nothing but a scout.
*takes back his two cents*

They often hold boob fighting competitions and battle for the coveted Golden Bra of Nippal.
How about researching heavy scout and EWS probe 3?StoneRhino wrote:QUOTE (StoneRhino @ Apr 9 2007, 11:33 AM) how about letting scouts carry more probes instead?
Camaro wrote:QUOTE (Camaro @ Apr 9 2007, 05:15 PM) ahem, pulse probes to last 2 hours.
probing problem solved.
thank you.
