how does the scale modifier work. i know bigger numbers makes the ship bigger obviously, but how exactly does it work, does it work like

A)
the scale defines a radius of a sphere, the model is re-sized until part of it touches the sphere / both sides of the sphere
it doesn't matter what size the model is scaled to in miklshape
a 10 unit long ship in milkshape will be 20 units long in alleg with a scale of 20

B)
the model's size is multiplied by the scale factor
- resizing the ship in milkshape will re-size it in alleg
a 10 unit long ship in milkshape will be 200 long in alleg with scale of 20
the same ship scaled so its 5 units long in milkshape will be 100 long in alleg with a scale of 20

C) some variation of A and B (i can think of a few)

D) none of the above

Pretty sure it's B. The size of the model in Milkshape times the scale factor.

Check the relative scale modifiers in ice for a small ship vs a large ship.
Apparently a California "cabin" is any place more than 4 blocks from a McDonalds.

I answered this elsewhere, thought I should repeat it here for clarity sake.

It's A

Models are normalized so that regardless of how big they are when you model them, they are whatever size specified in the core.

So if a ship is 20 units, but the model is 100 units. Then the model will be scaled by the engine by a factor of 20/100, so that the model will appear as being 20 units large.
