The lb issue is being dealt with in the next DN release, Noir mentioned that there are a few things changing about patties and the lb will have reduced effectiveness for them, also a couple other changes that I can't remember. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Do we have any idea when the next release will be?

Not that I've heard... it's supposed to include a lot of tweaking, plus some new factions (although I really think that releasing a huge amount of factions isn't as good as just releasing one for now). /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

The combination of their offensive effectiveness, early availability, and very slim hitbox profile is what makes them dangerous. If we made the hitbox a brick I wouldn't be overly concerned about them.

Noir was right to perk them from what they were before. It wasn't worth getting them. However, now they are better then the majority of the factions starting ships face to face with the exception of lt int facitons.

They are better then all starting ships (except perhaps TF scouts) for hunting miners.

I'm not sure the nerf to their fuel and speed will do much to their economy offense. I'd rather see their profile increased (through either a hitbox tweak or model upscaling). If they come across an undefended miner it's dead no matter what, but with a larger hitbox/model a team has a chance to defend against a moderate rush on the miners in their home.

Hmm, all this talk of increasing their hit box I don't understand. Maybe it's just me, but killing patties doesn't seem that hard to hit them. Still, it can't hurt to jump it up a bit I suppose.

Reducing the speed and economy of their boosters will make an impact, not sure how much though.

One thing about them that seems fairly deadly is their ability to carry mines... sure it may seem like a small thing, but patties laying mines pod more people then you'd expect. I don't think I'm saying get rid of the mines, just a note.

I'm wondering if cutting back their missles per slot from 3 to 2 would be too much of a hit... even if they might be changed to carry 2 probes per slot... I'm just rambling ideas.

I'm sure I've said this before, but patties need to be nerfed for the simple reason that I do so well in them, rearly am I not in the top 3 in kills for the team after 20 minutes or so if we got patties to start. That's just wrong /huh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":huh:" border="0" alt="huh.gif" />
