I have experienced it a lot, other players report it as well.

TF sounds seem to crash Allegiance. I have not yet found out what exactly causes it, but I guess it is the gatt sound. I will try to switch my TF gatt sound to the normal gatt. Hopefully that will fix it.
Does anyone else have more clues?

I had this happen one day, wasn't sure what was causing me to CTD.
If I recall, one event happened right when I was pulling the trigger to fire the gatt on my scout. I am not sure what else was happening in the sector. I just remember hitting the trigger then blamo! /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />

Well, iirc, Beta has made improvements to the sound in general. There was also a file released TF_monoFix_01.zip that contains replacement sounds for TF (mono versions, obviously). I don't know the technical details, but I'm lead to understand that Alleg (Beta or Regular) can't/won't use stereo sounds anyway (internally converts them to mono before playing?). At any rate these mono files go into the normal Alleg artwork folder and work just fine in Regular Alleg. (ie putting them in now won't hurt and might help.)
The link to the file was in the FAZ Public forum, I think, but I don't see it now.
I can email it to anyone who wants it - just send a PM.

As far as I know FAZ R2 used DX8 as sound interface instead of DX4 and thus stereo sounds would somehow cause a mixup due to different interpretation by the DX interface.
Well the replacement sounds were made to fix this problem. But the whole switch to DX8 was postponed as it caused still too many problems with some players. And as FAZ R2 should be around the next corner the primary goal of the devs is most likely to "stabilize" the release. I guess the mono sounds were removed from the FAZ post as they are no longer necessary for beta to work.

I just crashed 2 times today during a tf game. Once was driving a bomber ('yx), but the other one was just in base, switching screens. Several other people on my team also experienced crashes while doing nothing special in particular (sitting in an sb/scout, etc).
