Have you even seen an ASS ship? You know why you dont? Because when they do get in, they slip away so fast its not even funny. That what they are.. Anyway, the point is it's broken and wouldn't be implemented not in DN anyway, go take this idea to... EOR /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

It's pretty hard to stop an Ass Ship when you don't even know they have one. I've never seen a team go "Oh they have Adv Tac, let's go probe alephs". Personal experience dictates you need to lose an op or a tele first before that happens.

only the nuub ass ships get eyed. If you do it right, you have a scout in stealth mode, rip to you, clear out all the probes on alephs, while you sneak around the outskirts of the sector. youll never see it coming

Didn't EoR have the piloted TP-Con (which actually dropped very-long-lived TP-probes which used the base model)? So... it's not entirely a joke...

I do remember something like that, though iirc it only partially worked.
n.b. I may not see a forum post replied to me or a pm sent to me for weeks and weeks...

It does (Belters only) - drops teles, and it works just fine. There used to be a problem with the probes self-destructing, but ever since that got taken out of the code in R1, it works to specification.

I think the only (minor) hitch with Belters tele probe is that AI craft won't rip to it, since it is a tp probe (with very long life and base hull). Still, it otherwise works perfectly and gives Belters a way of quick expansion/response to enemy movements. I've always wondered what would happen in early game if a nanned tele con drove into the enemy's home and dropped a teleprobe. The thing takes forever to activate, but if the commander wasn't planning on buying EoR's expensive bombers, it could get really ugly.

It takes 60s to activate... and is light hull (like small giga bases), so the enemy could just dumb/plasma it into oblivion before it activates.
