#resign ?

No way. Let's see to what ridiculous numbers we can push them...

And after that, I don't want to go through this kind of bovine excrement again.

PS:
... can't ... resist ... temptation...
Didn't I predict this? So much for a fair vote. :-)

finally it's over.
I really don't think it's necessary to do this again.
I voted once a day and will vote once a day, only if asked to.
I don't need to be on the top chart of mpgod.com (a site unknown for me until this thread) more than i need another pair of shoes.
And i don't need to be on the top chart/ cheat to do so/do anything else just to boost my ego.
If wiszsss/other EU players are so well organised, good for them.
I repeated many times we had our hands dirty anyway, good lesson for us and a cheap win for them.
If this is all it takes to make them happy... i guess it's pretty easy and i'm pretty scared by their lack of social life, but after all i simply don't care.
I'll vote dominions/allegiance if specifically asked to, if not (and i think it's better like that) i'll bury this and never remember it again.

It makes me laugh anyway, thinking those poor nerds passing all this afternoon proxing.
I was studying for university.
I'll get a degree that'll serve me for getting a better work, and it will last for a lifetime.
They'll get a free advertising for A MONTH on a single site above the millions in the net.
Tomorrow i'll ask a girl her number, after weeks of talking with her every time i could.
Tomorrow wiszsss will have tons of cyber cash that will be good only to get items for his internet game.

Who's clever and who's not?
Time will tell.

Your talking about real life... We only do real life when it intrudes upon us....

i think i'm jsut going to post my in-complete blog entery here because my feelings on this have changed and i don't think its worth blogging any more
and this thread will be gone soon enough

QUOTE this whole vote for allegiance thing has been an interesting experience

first i thought, yeah, lets try and win this, but no cheating.

then i was like, i wonder if i could write a script to vote, just to see if i can

it worked, roughly, then i tried to make it more efficient.

our vote rate rocketed up to 350 / day, roughly 200 of which were mine

we took many places, but i was left feeling kinda bad (dam morals), there were all these other games voting honestly, and there was me owning them with cheating.

if you write a bot to make you win a game, everyone hates you, but if you do one to win a voting competition for your community on the internet, everyone loves you (except those your beating)

but then this guy on the EU forums starts out voting us, voting 200 votes in 2 hours

one thing i've learnt form this is,

there is always someone better than you, smarter, or better equipped than you, or both.
but if you work together with teamwork you can beat them.

we had a mmorpg player outvoting us, individually we couldn't match him
but we are allegiance players, we are team players (mostly /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> ) we work together, and together we can win[/quote]

After the support they gave us, Dominion more than deserves GOTM for March.

Hey -- second place is free advertising. In my book, we won and we did it with pinache and honor.

From the stuff I've read on the EU forums and on the MMOGD and MMRPG and other gaming sites -- EU is sort of like a pyramid scheme -- and you can lose alot of real $$$.

I personally am not a big fan of RPGs. They seem like too much work. I don't get why you would want to unwind by going to work in a virtual world, but that is just me. I know people who live to be virtual -- so....

Dammeeples and others -- don't get down about any of this. Look at it this way:

We helped some poor guy earn alot of ingame dough. Wisszs and whoever else got paid to vote -- they should post a mighty big THANK YOU right here in this thread an let us know just how much they earned because of us.

Number 2 -- EU will not be in on this vote for another year -- so chops to them and thank god we finished second.

Finally, we got great publicity for Allegiance. If I read the information correct, we got almost 160 new players since this get out the vote thing started in mid February.

I would suggest a serious campaign to keep us in second year round. It is a good source of free advertisement.

...and better yet, what a great experience it's been reading the EU boards. It's like riding on a bus full of talking chipmunks who are all taking turns preening each others tails. This community is so much more engaging. I'd go nuts (no pun intended) if I had to read through their assinine comments for much longer. It's actually pretty funny to get a glimpse of the great masses that exist in other gaming worlds. I actually though the one guy, EarlVonKippler, was breaking the mold over there with a pretty decent post. Turns out that even he's a complete idiot /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />

Ladies and Gentlemen, the winner is ... Entropia. For most effective mass cheating. He who breaks the rules first and worst, wins.

Special mention goes to Wszszsz for most predictable liar and most unconvincing hypocrite.

Our regrets go to the poor folks who went through the effort of casting honest votes every day, which got diluted into insignificance.

Well, this was an interesting experience. Interesting to see the various feelings and change of feelings it brings out in different people and communites, entertaining to read reactions and counterreactions, educating on how cheating works and how nobody gives a damn. Good for a few laughs and a lot of shaking your head.

I have also rarely found so many people on the net so oblivious to the obvious and too dumb to even read the posts on the previous page before posting a righteous rant. I am just glad that they are not playing Allegiance. :-)

But the sort of interesting that learning once is enough. I am glad to close this file. But if you really want to keep Alleg in #2 spot permanently: That's easy, you don't even need a campaign or anybody else to vote. As Wzszsz has shown, it can be fully automated with an overnight cron job. :-)

PS: No, I haven't posted this on the EU forums. They'll read it here soon enough when they come gloating. :-)

PPS: Keeping up Wzszszs for checking and cheating while I was soundly asleep pushing him was worth the last few votes. >:-)
