simple rule to remember:
if you have a nan, you won't need it. if you don't have a nan, you will need it.
if there's one thing i've launched without and wished i had later, it's a nan. /doh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="doh.gif" />
Should scouts carry a nan.

I always bring a nan on opening scout runs, tp2 drops, miner defense, and obviously bomb runs.
For tp2 drops: One rack of missles, 2 prox, and nan in cargo, remaining slots either contain extra teleprobes or are empty for shields to store once I've cleared eye from launching base. I leave gat loaded. Having a nan on a tp drop has changed the outcome many times in the years I've played. I usually drop the tp2, move between it and the direction the defenders are coming from and drop the prox. More often than not nanning the tp2 isn't necessary as the first responders usually plow through the prox. If I see someone coming from an angle that will avoid the prox I return to the probe to nan. Where it comes in real handy is nanning your highest KB bomber once the team rips in. I find that bringing too much extra prox reduces your maneuverability and acceleration too much.

You suck if you're defending miners from sfs and you don't carry a gat to defend yourself. Rediculous.
May as well nan me while I kill your nan scout. Maybe I'll get confused.

Jaysus KeeRighst o'mighty -- we had comm yelling to bbr against hints on tac (or exp -- can't remember) that was like 6 k from the sleph we were entering.Elephanthead wrote:QUOTE (Elephanthead @ Feb 26 2007, 07:50 PM) Who goes on a tp2 drop without 7 tps in cargo? Why are you not naniting the fighters that rip in when you ask for bombers anyway?
Some frekin' run with sfs and lrm 3 with bbrs having cm 1 lol

On one of my lst tp2 drops, I sat there, waiting for the enemy to respond and there it came. A stealth fighter flying straight for my teleprobe. I had the prox in the wrong spot, so he started shooting, while I began the nanning, I was able to just outnan the damage he dealed, when he decided to ram the probe with full speed. One explosion later, he was podded and the TP2 activated with full health. /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />mcwarren4 wrote:QUOTE (mcwarren4 @ Feb 26 2007, 10:13 PM) If I see someone coming from an angle that will avoid the prox I return to the probe to nan.
