More like your government needs to prevent entrepreneurs taking manufacturing to China and keeping it at home

But alas...that is all too late. Thanks to greed, China has everyone by the balls. period
This. American companies don't want to pay a fair wage in the U.S. so they take their manufacturing operations to commie countries for the cheap labor.

Those manufacturing jobs will never return. In order to have a fair trade agreement we need China to buy more from us like agriculture. Quit stealing trade secrets, intellectual property, Trumps voter base is taking the biggest hit from this trade war, trade wars are horrible for both sides. Seems like his trade advisor wants more time but trump is running out of time. He needs a deal that will make up for the devastation that already has occurred. We shall see if we get a rushed trade deal that isn't much better or a good one where both sides benefit in the end. It's a race against the clock.

If anything the Chinese have a far longer clock to work to so can afford for the US to get desperate. If there's one benefit of authoritarian regimes it's their ability to plan in the long term. Democracy is good and all but we have a very bad habit of planning as far as the next election and no further.

Or be loyal and plan for the next handout, then if it's like Venezuela their might not be anymore handouts. I like choosing my own path, whether it's good or bad.

Well try living on our wages at our prices and we'll see how many paychecks forward you plan :P

$7.25 an hour is our federal minimum! Whooppeeee! Enjoy your 12 hour weeks at the Burger King. What, you want more? So do the other forty people working here, but since you're whining why don't I just fire you and give those hours to some rando off the street.

I was referring to getting NK to engage. How do you see that as a victory?

Everyone knew they weren't going to give anything, this was basically a PR stunt by trump. Since nothing even happened, even superficial, it's a failure. The only things that have happened as a result are:
