Windows Vista + Alleg

I had the exact same problem you did with Vista and Alleg. Where it would just sit and try to connect. After some banging of heads ... I found out it had to do with Symantec Antivirus. I was runing 10.2 the new version for Vista, and Alleg DOES NOT LIKE IT. Once I removed Symantec. It magically worked! So basically you ahve to decide ... Alleg or Hackers..... I choose Alleg !!!!

I do not know why my antivirus woudl have ANYTHING to do with connecting to the game.... but it did.

NAV sucks yo.

Use NOD32 or something similar. If you want a firewall, use Sygate for ex. Don't go for ZoneAlarm - more trouble than its worth.

[Sygate was bought and has been discontinued, so you wont see any improvements or vista versions. (Damn shame)]
