Steam Squad Tags

Ok here's a step-by-step to adding a tag to your name:

First, make some friends and join a Steam group with an abbreviation.

Second, launch the game.

Third, on the VERY FIRST SCREEN before you hit "Free games" hit escape. There should be a section in the menu where you can select your tag. Select your tag. Select your token if you have one.

Fourth, click free games and connect to the lobby

Is this adding the tag automagically to everyone else? When I do this, I log in, it ask me to enter my callsign,, I enter Xynth, and my name just shows up as Xynth not Xynth@Dev. Or is everyone enter callsign@tag into the callsign prompt?

blacksun's image shows "Squad Tags" on the menu,...selecting that, gives you the optional tags to choose from. You should see "Dev" and "None" as options. Once you have selected that tag, you will then see the available tokens for that specific tag.

Launch the game, hit ESC T 0 (that's a zero). This should slap the Dev tag on your name. It should be persistent...at least it is for me.

Yeah I do all the ESC T 0 stuff, I am guessing it is the same issue that causes me to be prompted for a callsign. Do you see the callsign prompt? That is registry related I believe. I have hammered my allegiance registry values during dev, causing more problems than this.

Oh wait, I think BT put in a fix that if you have _ in the persona, you will get prompted....look at his last commit....maybe related?

I might add that I am already logged into steam when I double click Allegiance in the game library. If that means anything.
