I realize this suggestion may not be an easy addition, however I think if a way could be found to implement it, it would ebnefit the game a bit.

For myself, I know I mainly only comm maps I know unless I am in the mood to look up a different map and try it out. It is not a huge pain, but having to minimize alleg to look up a map layout is annoying.

I thought it would be beneficial to have the maps displayed maybe in the settings section? Click a button and see the map? Or right in the server lobby. The other thought was, allowing only the comm to be able to see what the map should look like, in game. Not showing the alephs and such. Something similar to the mini-map, but it would just be a completed static version so the comm can see choke points and such, plan out the teams strategy.

I think it would allow for the other, less played, maps to be used more since you can see what they are rather than just guessing or having to goto a web site to find out.

Just a thought. /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />

Well, the point in the Allegiance Anniversary Map was in having comms having no clue of what the map would look like in the beginning. This'd ruin the surprise /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />

But for the normal pickup game, it'd be awesome. It was also proposed to have it shown in that annoying countdown screen.

Or add another setting option, 'mapped', so you see the map grid on the minimap but you still need to find the alephs.

Oh that sounds AWESOME, maybe we could give it a better setting name.

Umm, what's everyone thing of "revealed" or better yet; "Reveal"? /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="cool.gif" />
n.b. I may not see a forum post replied to me or a pm sent to me for weeks and weeks...

Ie change how reveal map works? I dunno, because I THINK that Reveal Map basicly works by saying you knew where the alephs are but nothing else.

Theasiest way to add the map thing is to just add it to the f1 helpfile under its own setting.
Apparently a California "cabin" is any place more than 4 blocks from a McDonalds.

I think this would help new comms feel a bit more comfortable taking the comm (which is a GOOD thing in the long run)
