I might have to see about trying this game again after a decade or so myself. Any suggestions on an affordable joystick to use? I havent owned one of them since my serial port microsoft sidewinder. That thing is long gone.

In 2009, Allegiance Revision 5 was released incorporating the newer DirectX 9. Ever since that release, the joystick behavior has been impossible to cope with. Don't waste your money on a joystick. You'll be totally disappointed.
