Potential is there again, but then again, we are reminded of Phantom Menace.

Im actually pretty interested. No constraints on this one.

Jyn Eyrso + Luke Skywalker = Rey?

Oh, and AT-AT's. Force Awakens had me at Xwings, so good to see these guys splashing ponds like puddles

I'm a bit concerned that these spin off movies, may tarnish the main sequel trilogy.
We shall see i guess.

@#(! doesn't tarnish, so no worries about that.

Two things about this:

1) It can't be all that much worse than SW 7

2) I saw a funny online which was a tweet by this guy raging about the fact that they were making these stereotypical Samurai caricatures. Sad thing was, he was serious.

Was VII worse than I in YHO?

TPM does have the best soundtrack of any star wars film, but everything else about it is offensive

VII was merely dull by comparison

1(2,3) was bad because it was too different
7 was bad because it was too similar.

For my money, 7 spent a lot of time avoiding the mistakes of the prequels (poor dialogue and acting, unengaging characters, dodgy plotting) and made a while heap of new mistakes instead (lack of interesting story).

7 is probably a better film but I rather like 1 for its willingness to try something new.

Looking forward to Rogue One. I've always been interested in the period before 4 so this and Rebels are perfect for me.

Looking forward to seeing Donnie Yen more than anything.

I really hope this is a Halo Reach-esque film where everyone dies one by one to get the plans to R2.

It would alternatively be absolutely amazing if this was a crack team put together to get the death star plans, they fight agaist all odds against the imps and mostly make it out intact and light is at the end of the tunnel but then you hear the tell tale wheeze of Vader who absolutely wrecks them and they have to get the plans on to R2 and away while they sacrifice themselves to buy time.

... Both a bit morbid but hey.. Also killing them all off would avoid canon issues potentially. And it's not like many bothans didn't die for the other plans.

I absolutely loved 7. I don't pretend to have an objective or rational opinion. I understand that it had essentially the same story as 4 and lacked in the soind dept but it was new nonetheless. Took me back to my childhood. Absolutely loved BB8, Finn and Rey (double edged lightsaber pls!). Jury is out on Kylo.

I am hoping they go off the beaten path a bit more in episode 8 but interested to see where the story is going.

Maybe I missed something, but was I the only one hyped when I first heard about Rogue One that it would have insane X-Wing actions. Was kinda keen on the idea of Donnie Yen taking on 10 Imperial TIE fighters at once over half a potato, not him carrying a staff.

THIS IMAGE may contain spoilers, but if so the whole stealing of the plans is going to be a massive task (rebel body count will be high)

Im excited and might actually care for the Rebel's and what they have to overcome.
