This was a great game and I enjoyed it thoroughly not just as the commander of the enemy team, more so because I'm invested in this game and it's future.
It is very promising to see a newish commander taking the reigns vs an experienced commander. Deathrender you did an admirable job. Despite the fact that it was a stacked game it was competitive. As commanders (and RL people) we must always be able to learn from defeats and from your posts to me in the CadetII forum I can tell that you are taking constructive criticism to heart without getting defensive. I can't tell you how awesome this is. Being able to take criticism while remaining confident is invaluable.
To me, Allegiance has been a way to hone my leadership skills.. and it became transferable into real life. Commanding a team in any size game let alone a huge event takes balls. Allegiance lives on commanders, it's very evident. Honestly it doesn't take very much.... it doesn't have to be an epic event. There comes a time when you become comfortable with the game and your team enough that it doesn't matter the doubts they cast into your mind. There will always be people that think they know better than you. It's your job to determine if they actually do or don't and act accordingly.
For myself I've generally commanded by committee to a certain extent. The difference for me was realizing that I know what the $#@! I'm doing so I don't need help. If it's a win or loss, it was my win or loss.
Anyways, I wanted to comment on this thread and encourage Deathrender in public. Keep going and I'm glad you're back!

On a side note, if anyone would like to provide constructive feedback on my performance as a commander during that game, feel free to speak up. That game had a good population and because of that, I want to pick it apart as much as possible and learn from as many points as I can.

IC is not the best big map faction. They're slow and fairly expensive to expand with. Giga, Belts, Bios, Dreg and Rix are all better options for huge maps.
As much as I loves me some int, sup or tac is a superior big game tech path as well, especially if you are stacked against.
As the team gets larger(20+), command in broader strokes. Say what you want done, less micro more overall vision. Ideally there will be field commanders that arise to handle situational command, if not maybe appoint known comms.
