Just because some other places on the internet have pointless flaming doesn't not lead to the conclusion we should accept it as our standard.

Raveen is correct. Not only is this normal for the Internet. It's normal for science. Study any scientific achievement in history and almost everyone of them have 3 camps.
1. Those that can discuss things without real argument.
2. Those who agree to argue about things, but hold no animosity for each other.
3. Those who argue about things and refuse to forgive the other for dis-agreeing.

"Also because ice is less dense than liquid water, it will be transported upwards by buoyant forces as it freezes, which is why lakes etc. freeze over on top. In other liquids, ice sinks to the bottom after freezing."
Hydrogen bonds and crystallization cause water to "exannd" at around 34 degrees farenhiet. (roughly 1 C) WHen it freezes it is in perfect rystal form, causing it as a solid to be lighter than a higher temperature liquid. an anomoly in materials.
H2O is the strangest substance i know of... until I met DMT

And if you put cornstarch in it and slap it some very interesting things happen.

Don't find fault, find a remedy; anybody can complain.
