Ok, so I just finished Installing all the High resolution Textures. I discovered that I now need to install them to Allegiance 1.2 (I've been away for quite awhile) so I installed them all to my artwork and texture files. Now, here is where I'm stuck. I try and launch, the game goes full screen, cursor indicates loading, then it goes to windowed and crashed. Any help?

I need to know a feew things first.
1 Where did you get the high res from?
2 You dont have to extract the textures inboth the "artwork" and "textures"
3 Does allegiance give you any errors?

Reduce texture size to 1024x1024 and it should work without crashing.

I think you ran into this:

How so? I trimmed down all my texture packs so that users do not come up with that that error.
Weird.

I got the Hi res off the Wiki, most are Mesials.
I did not extract to both the artwork and textures, only to the required folder.
No, I do not get any errors, just says Free Allegiance has stopped working... windows is searching for solution... blah blah blah. normal crash BS
I can't even get to the main menu screen after initial start-up, so I can't go in and change settings to 1024X1024 Help?

Had this problem, still am wondering what caused it. The way I solved it was redownloading the game. This may not be due to the Hi res textures
hope this helps, Student

If you crash before you even get to the main menu, then it should not be related to the high res textures.
The game only loads the textures when you create a game from the lobby and during the countdown before the game starts.
Try reinstalling the game.

Yeah, I got it working. Thing is, I went and uninstalled all my High Res Textures, and the game worked fine. Best part is, I had hi res graphics in game. I'm not going to ask why... I'm just gonna leave it :)
Thanks for the help Blacksun
