AFAIK it's not about "arr, we are fiercely independent" anyway. It's about feeling misrepresented and neglegted by London. Right or wrong, that is not incompatible with the EU. Scotland wants to be more Nordic. Social Democrat, I guess.

i don't think so. Can't see this covering new legislation. They really are just aiming to be like, i hate to say it, us Canadians.
It seems to me there are a lot of similarities between the effect the English and French had on the Canadian First Nations and Scottish Peoples.
How do teach a young Scot his Peoples history and then get to today and tell him to vote no. On top of that they are allowed to vote at 16 years old so we can deduct they will vote with their Hearts over what ever their brain could come up with at that age.
i also must admit that if i lived in Scotland i know what hill i'd be standing on when the sun came up and i'd stand there till the sun went down on the day of the vote. i wonder if any Scots living there will take the hill? It might be too controversial.

I am not sure if i could possibly give less of a @#(! about an issue than i do about scottish independence. I do appreciate that this generated a wonderful john oliver skit, and how pissed off is the ira going to be that theyve been blowing @#(! up for years to no effect yet the scotts get independence for free.

There's a suggestion in England that Scotland can have independence as long as they take northern Ireland with them.

agri disagrees; had the uk and the traitors managed to work out an acceptable compromise - the colonies becoming full parts of the uk, for instance (as the various french colonies became parts of metropolitan france for instance) - the world might be an even better place, especially if the principle of representation had been extended to other parts of the empire.
