Help.
Why don't more people play this game?
phoenix1 wrote:QUOTE (phoenix1 @ May 5 2013, 08:35 PM) Vogue is clearly #1 and commanding against him feels like commanding against Spideycw at times... though he lacks that little bit of "I don't care who's on my team or what the factions are, it's going to be a stomp anyways" that Spidey managed to pull off in his heyday.
TL/DR: what do people get out of playing this game?
Also stop trying to "revive" the game and instead act like we're "making" a new game.

Don't find fault, find a remedy; anybody can complain.

There's loads of games out there to get stuck into and that makes getting new players and retaining existing players hard; especially as the game is nearly 15 years old. Most of us have limited 'me' time in front of a computer. It's done very well if you think about it and that is down to this excellent community and the fact that the game itself is epic.
It's so awesome that after wandering about, Allegiance is still here to return to. I will be very sad if one day the servers were completely empty and there was no one to play it with.

That is incorrect. Very lil ppl plays. What makes it even better. The more players, the less probable that you are actually good it, and just spend your whole time sitting in a fig/int trying to pod ppl.Elzam V. Branstein wrote:QUOTE (Elzam V. I believe that mostly only apply to Pook.Shizoku wrote:QUOTE (Shizoku @ Sep 14 2014, 09:56 PM) Also, lots of old vets coming back. Prime time for decent voobs to try and take them down so say they took down a legend.
Although it does look rewarding podding culm and not giving him a miner kill

This.... just isn't true. Assume the skill range of players remains and you're the best in the game. Is it more impressive to say that you're better than the 200 other people that play? Or the 2000 other people that play? The "skill distribution" remains constant, but the number of people in each percentile changes, so to be in the top 10% goes from being in the top 20 to the top 200, which makes higher percentiles much more impressive.Archangelus wrote:QUOTE (Archangelus @ Sep 14 2014, 07:32 PM) That is incorrect.
