What Error Message: No Error message

When I select "Play on-line", it opens up Allegiance like it should. Then, after the blue circular waiting logo flashes around for a couple of seconds, the screen becomes dark and stays dark. The first time I launched Allegiance everything went fine; it was when I went to Options to increase Anti-Aliasing that the screen went dark as if to make changes. However, it never showed anything after that.
